Dear District Landowners,
We are writing to share important updates in advance of the upcoming irrigation season. First, effective January 1, 2022, water rates are $19.50 per acre per irrigation for flood irrigation and $59.50 per acre-foot for drip irrigation.
Second, despite the recent December storms, the District anticipates that the 2022 irrigation season will be difficult as storage in all Northern California reservoirs remains at historic lows. As a result, strict compliance with the District’s Irrigation Rules will be required in the 2022 irrigation season. This means that orders for water will not be taken if your account is delinquent OR if payment is not received at the time a water order is made. Moreover, the District will assess a delinquency charge of 1.5% per month on any delinquent water charges. A copy of the District’s current Irrigation Rules can be found on the District website at: https://pescaderord.specialdistrict.org/irrigation-rules. Please review the Irrigation Rules in advance of the irrigation season and contact the District if you have any questions.
To make payments easier, the District is now able to accept additional forms of payment for water charges and the assessment. The District can accept credit card payments and ACH payments (a direct transfer from one bank account to another). Credit card payments will be subject to a 3% fee. The District will waive any fees associated with ACH payments. If you would like to take advantage of these additional forms of payment, please contact the District office at 209-835-2293. You will need to provide an email address in order to pay by credit card or ACH.
Finally, the District will be undertaking an effort to update and confirm the landowner information that it uses to file the annual water use reports with the State Water Resources Control Board. As part of this effort, District Counsel will host a series of open houses for landowners at the District office (3650 W. Canal Blvd.) to verify (and update, if needed) the information associated with their Statements of Diversion and Use. Open houses will be held as follows:

- Thursday, January 20, 2022 10:00 pm - 12:00pm
- Wednesday, February 2, 2022 11:30 pm - 1:00pm (following the Board Meeting)
The District intends to confirm and update all landowner information by February 28, 2022. If you are unable to attend an open house, you may provide the needed information by completing the form on the District’s website at: https://pescaderord.specialdistrict.org/water-use-reporting.
